An extraordinary remnant of pre-brownstone Brooklyn: a freestanding
French Second Empire stucco house crowned with a cupola, slate mansard
roof, and cast-iron crests against the sly. India ink, that intense
black fluid so misnamed (it should be Chinese ink), was made here for
draftsmen, designers, artists, and calligraphers. |
